Passing Patterns — Third-Man Combinations

Set up three stations of players in triangles. A passes to B, B lays off to C, C plays into the vacated space. Continuous rotation so every player hits every position. Emphasise weight of pass and movement after releasing.

• Pass and move — standing and watching is not an option
• Weight the pass to the receiver's front foot
• Third man must move before the second pass is made

• Add a defender on the third man to introduce a decision
• Extend the pattern to include a finishing run on goal
