Ben Steinmetz receives a played-in ball from coach, must distribute to one of two wide targets (played by spare players) under a 3-second clock. Vary the service: on the ground, bouncing, aerial. Fourteen minutes while outfield do their circuit.

Set your feet before you receive wherever possible — think early, decide early
Look up before the ball arrives, not after
Soft first touch to the side, not directly in front — keep your options open

Progressions

Add a passive press from coach 8 yards out to force quicker decision
Require Ben to play out to the correct coloured target called by coach at the moment of service
